regopit Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Toolnut is taking per orders for Milwaukee's new job site radio $229.00 http://www.toolnut.com/Milwaukee_2792_20_M18_Jobsite_Radio_Charger_p/2792-20.htm?utm_source=Milwaukee+2792-20&utm_campaign=Milwaukee+M18+Radio&utm_medium=email
DR99 Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 I'm a little bummed out on the price I was hoping for a sub 200 dollar price.
firefighter4187 Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Yeah that is far down on my list..
YukonPlumber Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 ill be buying it, love the blue tooth idea. One thing i hated about having to plug your phone into the radio for your music was, when it rang you had to run across the job site to answer it.
Javier Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 I'm a little bummed out on the price I was hoping for a sub 200 dollar price.Same here, maybe they'll include it as some sort of combo one day for a good deal or maybe one of those free tool or battery deals. I would buy it and sell whatever else it came with. It will be a while if that ends up being true
DR99 Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 A bundle deal helps get rid of the sting on a tool purchase. The bluetooth is such a huge plus though I really only listen to podcasts or internet radio streams I'm not a fan of what the radio stations are playing around here lately. My favorite station which was alternative rock is playing more Avenge sevenfold, Theory of a Deadman, and Nickleback now I'm just not a fan of that kind of music. 1
Conductor562 Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 I expected it to be more than the current model, but not double
DR99 Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 I wonder if Milwaukee is going to come out with a lower end model, or keep the current one in stores the higher price is going to affect peoples decisions on if they should buy it. Like conductor mentioned the price doubling really sucks. I don't know if the ability to charge batteries added to the cost. Is that Dewalt radio charger patent still in effect?
astroboy Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I still can't wait. I've been looking forward to this for years
Conductor562 Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 The DeWalt patent must have ran out. About all the radios are charge capable now.
