That would be a funny story for the cops "well I was framing up a new kitchen wall for my wife's reno and she was yelling at me and the hammer head loosened up and flew off and hit her in the face....thats why she has a black eye"... Conductor562 Posted January 18, 2014 Report Share Posted January 18, 2014 The grooves on a milled face hammer flatten out pretty quickly. That's the ONLY real benefit I see. You could carry both milled and smooth heads with a lot less weight and bulk than 2 hammers, but I don't see that being much of an issue.
