mgmartino Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 My miter saw was working fine for 2 weeks on this project. I just changed the blade 2 weeks ago as well. But now it is making this strange skidding noise once I let go of the on/off switch. Starts around the 00:04 mark and continues to the 00:07 mark. Eric - TIA Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 Did this just start happening with the new blade? Sometimes cheaper blades are not balanced right so you can get this noise but it's hard to see from the video where the noise is coming from. If you just installed a new blade and then the noise started happening, I would try and go with a different blade such as a Diablo or maybe the blade you have could be defective. Quote
mgmartino Posted May 15 Author Report Posted May 15 No the new blade was working fine for 2 weeks straight and honestly still cuts fine. But hearing a new sound like that worries me. Quote
RT29 Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 I would think the new blade. Bad bearing would always grind, but it seemed the noise started during stopping process when you released the trigger. Is the blade wobbling at the end? Quote
