JRS
Good to see they started doing this as I have had to buy bare tools striped from combos on ebay which never seemed right.
Feif64
I agree I have spent too much time trying to find bare tools. This is great.
Aerogt01
Woot! This is exactly what I've been waiting for! Now to save up for the DCD970L. . .
kanxrus
That's the part I don't understand? The DCD970 is the same as the DCD950 (bare tool), minus the color of the clutch ring. Yet the DCD970 cost's $31 more?
Aerogt01
I wasn't aware of that difference. I know in the kit the DCD970 is $30 more than the 950. I actually don't have any 18v tools as of yet, I was just going to buy the drill (with li-ion batteries) then add on bare tools as needed. I'll take a better look at our displays tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure you're right, that they're the same drill minus cosmetic differences. Steven
You can also get the bare tools here: http://www.toolbarn.com/dewalt-xrpkit.html Or at eBay (my advise - make sure they are new tools, correct voltage, nano base version, the seller has a high Feedback Score & has good Positive Feedback, and look for a "Top-rated seller" so you wont get burned): http://www.ebay.com/
morpheuzneo
You can also get the bare tools here: http://www.toolbarn.com/dewalt-xrpkit.html Or at eBay (my advise - make sure they are new tools, correct voltage, nano base version, the seller has a high Feedback Score & has good Positive Feedback, and look for a "Top-rated seller" so you wont get burned): http://www.ebay.com/ Hi, great that you mention ebay in this thread. I was looking around in ebay looking for hammer drill for DIY (moving into new house) I'm from malaysia. Here in South East Asia - the price if you get from normal hardware store is very steep! ebay price is about more than 1/2 price off the normal price in malaysia. but i have 1 issue - the shipping rate is quite high. I don't need a very fast service, just a reliable service. time doesn't matter (2 - 3 weeks is fine with me) any advice on this? thanks everyone. kanxrus
If you are planning to purchase from the states, then just find a seller that ships international. Contact the seller before you bid, and workout shipping information.
r3dzuan
The main problem with dewalt in malaysia is the nonsense pricing...yup this is an european product but common..its just ridiculous..i bet back in US or germany the tools are affordable n cheap so tht the broader usage of dewalt will actually gave dewalt the after market spare parts business opportunity..here in malaysia thy want u or forced u to used cheap brands...dunno whts wrong with the price but its got to change..errrmmm and if u can ship the tools even with the higher shipping cost..its still consider cheaper than the ones ull buy here...trust me bro..ive checked all the product price n ull know wht i mean
