light767
Hi all I would like to buy a multitool oscillating device and after many research I'm unsettled between the Bosch GOP 18v-34 and the FEIN 500 AMM Plus. The Fein is of course the brand that invented the oscillating tools and they have been the ones with the less trasmitted vibration to your hand as they have decoupled the frame from the oscillating motor. The bosch has always been worst, as far as I have red, but the last year they introduced the new GOP 18v-34 and they basically did the same thing that Fein used to did. From an ergonomic point of view I like the Bosch more as it should be staying in the hand much better, anyway is there anyone who has tried them both? Thanks. wingless
Welcome to the forum. IMO the most important feature with battery operated tools is to own all of the same brand / technology, to permit swapping batteries during periods of heavy usage. My OMT is DeWALT and has been fine.
light767
Yes both tools are on battery and they share the same battery from the Power for all brand. Anyway it would be nice if someone could answear my doubts, having tried both of them.
Altan
I use the Fein and it is amazing, I had Makita's cordless and two types of DeWALT cordless multitools (DCS355 and DCS356) and I would say too much of vibration. Fein is actually the brand making multitools for Festool. Fein has new versions of AMM500 and AMM700 which have AS (stands for AmpShare) at the end of the model number and these work with Bosch batteries. All AMM500 are brushed and AMM700 are brushless. AMM700 accepts all blades, but not the AMM500.
