The terms of the agreement are confidential, but both companies stated they are pleased with the results. joomla Posted October 28, 2009 Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 this is done to gain cross-licensing agreements. I.e. Milwaukee patented something Makita wants or makes, so Makita finds something that Milwaukee infringed on and sue them. Then they settle with cross-licensing agreements and no royalties paid.
