kanxrus
9/29/2009 Milwaukee® Introduces New M12™ XC High Capacity LITHIUM-ION Battery Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation expands its LITHIUM-ION system with the new M12™ XC High Capacity LITHIUM-ION Battery. Improving run-time, power and speed; the new high capacity LITHIUM-ION battery can provide up to 2X the performance in M12™ tools. “Each tool can benefit from the additional performance the XC battery offers,†says Paul Fry, Director of M12™ for Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. “While more demanding tools like the Hackzall® and 3/8†Drill will see obvious benefits in performance, electronic tools such as the M12™ Radio and M-Spector™ will have double the run-time.†At only 2-1/2†wide and 3-1/2†long, the M12™ XC High Capacity LITHIUM-ION Battery provides a durable and stable base for tools to stand upright. Rubber over-mold was also added for shock absorption and to protect finished surfaces from marring when tools are placed on them. With the introduction of the new XC high performance LITHIUM-ION battery and plans to grow the M12™ cordless platform in the future, MILWAUKEE® continues to expand its leadership position in the sub-compact category. The M12™ platform will include over 20 tools by the end of 2009 that offer innovative solutions in power, productivity, and portability. Aerogt01
Double the run-time is good, especially in some of those tools, but that battery on an M12 tool? Seems like to me that would be really ugly. Maybe they designed it so you can set the drill/screwdriver down on the battery and let it rest upright. joomla
Double the run-time is good, especially in some of those tools, but that battery on an M12 tool? Seems like to me that would be really ugly. Maybe they designed it so you can set the drill/screwdriver down on the battery and let it rest upright. Also, it's double the torque. Not really double, but you can put a lot more load on it since cells are in parallel. Also, m12 3.8 drill stands upright with a normal battery.
