Steven
Does it seem like this newer yellow charger tends to be a little sensitive, meaning that it tends to flash the fast blinking light ("Replace Pack") often? My older black charger never had this problem.
kanxrus
I would agree, the new chargers are very sensitive. I've noticed that when you don't properly push the lithium ion batteries all the way down into the charger, I get errors.
Steven
I am also having this problem with a new set of DeWALT DC9096-2 batteries I just bought in Oct '09.

jconradh
So who do we contact if our charger is having this problem. I have 2 batteries only 1 year old and a 2 year old battery and none of them will charge. I find it hard to imagine all 3 are defective. Thank you, Jeff
kjones
Take them to your nearest service center. If you do not know where that is, you can google it or call 1-800-4-DeWALT. If your batteries have yellow tops, they will both be under warranty.
