Bob the Nailer
Hello, I am new to power tools and picked up a Dewalt 18volt recently. I was drilling into wood today and the drill stopped. Then, it worked fine. When the drill stops does that mean the motor is going out? Is it bad for the motor when that happens? I took my finger off the trigger. Thanks. nightmaim
It is bad to the battery, since the motor can drawn up to 250 Amps when 'locked'. Try to avoid this situations to get a longer battery life.
KDamericano
did the drill just slow down to a stop, like it was running out of power? Which gear were you in?
kanxrus
What chemistry are you using? Lithium, or NiCd? Under heavy loads the lithium battery will shut off.
