kanxrus
This would be next on my DEWALT wish list! This is my own recreation, 18v DC827 Merged into the 12v Max body!
zmnnch
Do you really mean (and really wish) the 18 volt MAX will not be backward compatible with the NANO or the NiCd?? Milwaukee M18/V18 drama all over?? Just kidding. Nice re-creation by the way.
kanxrus
For me I wouldn't care, I would enjoy the upgrade in ergonomics! Yes I would agree drama drama drama would happen, which is probably why Dewalt has never done it.
Madtec
Just think, DeWalt's tower style platform have been around for more than 18yrs; that is dedication to its users. Now the design has changed and they launched the 12v system........ So i think the next round of 18v **cough** power tools will expand into a whole new platform. This might upset some of the tower pack users but i do not think they will be left out in the cold like some of the competitors; changing a platfrom almost every 5yrs :
framer
i like it. and i'd like to see dewalt get rid of that tower battery setup....it's just an akward shape, and doesnt sit in your tool belt right.

The tower pack is not going to be fazed out, it will still be available regardless of the new platform

kanxrus
It was merely a flawless photo edit, I cut the head off the 12v max and added the DC827 head in it's place. then blew it up to size.
quig1984
well done well done. I never really considered the 20 second delay to be so convenient . I love it. It bugs me that my 12v doesn't...well maybe you should take a shot at the new radio or something....haha in that little exspansion picture it looks like there will be 2 skill saws..wonder what the difference will be
