DCD775 chuck loose - brake problem

I have a new DCD775 18v Li-Ion drill.  I love it except for one problem.  When you release the trigger, the drill stops so fast, the chuck releases and the drill falls out.  If you release VERY slowly, no problem.  That's a little hard to remember every time.  This quick stop is caused by the electronic brake function.

Does anyone know how to defeat the electronic motor brake on this drill?  I would much rather have no brake over the annoying drill bit falling out issue.

You have a ratcheting chuck on that drill.  after you snug it up, ratchet it up tighter and you shouldn't have that issue.  If you have a new drill and the chuck cannot retain bits under normal operating conditions, than exchange it or take it to a service center to have it looked at.  You definately don't want to disable the brake, it is a really valuable safety feature, and the chuck should have no problem retaining the bits.
