Bucko Posted July 28, 2011 Report Share Posted July 28, 2011 I noticed this saw only comes with 1 battery in the kit. It seems that most kits come with 2 batteries unless I am mistaken. Any ideas why? Perhaps it would just cost too much with 2 batteries? I purchased my DC390 as a bare tool so maybe this is common on the saw? Retailers like hitting the lower price points with the circ saw and recip saw at $199. In order to do that, it comes with 1 battery. If it came with 2 then it would be selling for ~$250 probably. I've seen the bare saws for sale online for around $100. I already own the compact hammer drill and impact driver combo with two 1.5Ah batteries and a charger. Snoballz Posted February 29, 2012 Report Share Posted February 29, 2012 Since there wasn't a timely (or any) reply, I blindly ordered the Dewalt DCS393 20V Max Li-Ion Circular Saw along with a 3.0Ah battery thinking it is the same product as DCS391L1. After further review, it is not. DCS391L1 has a cast magnesium shoe, the DCS393 that comes in the Dewalt kit has a stamped metal shoe. EDIT 3/5 I received the DCS393 today.
