gsapatka
I have a DW890 that I bought years ago. i came with the standard black charger (DW9116) with the "conditioning button". I have recently purchased a new dual charger (DC 9320). My questions are: 1. Is the old charger as "good" as the new one? 2 Can I leave the batteries in the chargers (old & new) without harming the batteries?
kanxrus
The DW9116 has been around for a decade, and has seen a few changes. The newer style chargers no longer have the tune up button. Rather they are built in automatically. Once the 30-60 minute charge is complete, the charger automatically goes into tune-up mode. It equalizes all the cells. If you have the newer style chargers with automatic tune-up mode Dewalt claim's you can leave the battery on the charger indefinitely. gsapatka
What about the older charger, can I leave the batteries in that one also?
kanxrus
What's the model on the charger in question?

kanxrus
If it's dated from 2000-current, and it has the "tune-up mode" logo on the top left/right hand side your good to go.
