Guest ackerun
So I've been viewing this forum for a while, and finally signed up for an account. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but feel free to move as you see fit. I'm wondering if you guys had seen some of the new Bosch tools and batteries they're advertising. The batteries they're promoting sound like Milwaukee's marketing with longer run-time, more charges, cold weather performance. I've seen a lot of posts looking inside the batteries. Any idea what cells Bosch is using now? Dropping a tool out of a helicopter is pretty unrealistic but they look pretty tough. Anyone know how bulky they are? Thanks, Dave

kanxrus
I've looked at these in stores, but not had the chance to take any of them apart. They are pretty compact, and better balanced than the older line. From the outside, it looks like they are using the same style frame-less 4-pole motor as Milwaukee, or one similar. Just a guess though. I'm sure Bosch is still using Samsung cells, they probably just upgraded to a higher quality cell. The new Bosch line is on my list of tool's to pull a part, and will post up my finding's.
