DEWALT® Launches 20 Volt MAX* Combination Dual Port Fast Charger

TOWSON, Md. (Feb. 7, 2012) – Today, DEWALT announces the launch of its new Combination Dual Port Fast Charger (DCB103). This new charger supports existing stem pack batteries on DEWALT’s 7.2, 9.6, 14.4 and 18 Volt systems, as well as the new 12 Volt MAX* and 20 Volt MAX* systems.

“Knowing that so many contractors rely on our cordless products to earn a living, we are dedicated to continually improving our battery chargers to ensure they meet professionals’ demands,†said John Castelino, senior product manager, DEWALT. “DEWALT’s new Combination Dual Port Fast Charger is a convenient solution for our customers to maintain battery power on the jobsite, whether they’re working with a slide- or tower-style battery pack.â€

With 69 million 18 Volt tower-style battery packs actively being used in the U.S. market, and rapidly growing 12V MAX* and 20V MAX* systems, professionals are in need of a charger to perform efficiently on the jobsite. The new dual charger has the ability to support both tower-and slide-style battery packs simultaneously. By creating one charger that supports multiple batteries, DEWALT is enabling contractors to move quickly from one task to the next with tools that are ready for the job.

The Combination Dual Port Fast Charger will be available in April 2012 anywhere DEWALT products are sold and is expected to retail for $99.00. The charger will have a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and a 90-day money-back guarantee.
