kanxrus
DEWALT® Launches New 12 Volt MAX* Pivot Reciprocating Saw, a Lightweight Solution for Making Quick Cuts in Tight Spaces TOWSON, Md. (Feb. 7, 2012) – Today, DEWALT announces the launch of the 12 Volt MAX* Lithium Ion Pivot Reciprocating Saw (DCS310S1), an addition to the 12 Volt MAX* system that was launched in September 2010. The saw is ideal for a variety of professionals including remodelers, electricians, cabinet installers, plumbers, HVAC contractors as well as maintenance and repair professionals. “After logging many hours on the jobsite, speaking with professionals and observing the challenges they face on daily basis, we quickly learned that contractors spend a lot of time maneuvering in tight spaces,†said Sean Templeton, product manager, DEWALT. “When DEWALT designed the new reciprocating saw, we incorporated a pivoting three-position handle with our 12V* MAX battery to give users a compact, versatile and lightweight saw that delivers a fast, clean cut.†The new DCS310S1 features an adjustable three-position handle that allows contractors to adapt the saw to complete applications in confined spaces. The pivoting shoe also provides versatility for cutting a variety of materials. The DCS310S1’s keyless lever-action blade clamp allows users to easily change or reverse a blade, providing even greater access to tight spaces or allow for flush cutting. With a 9/16-inch stroke length, 0-2,700 strokes per minute (RPMs), and a 12 Volt MAX* 1.5 Ah battery, the new pivot reciprocating saw provides the power users need in a lightweight, ergonomic package. Just like other tools in the DEWALT 12 Volt MAX* line, the new pivot reciprocating saw is equipped with a bright LED light to illuminate dark work areas without shadows, for better visibility. The DCS310 will be available in April 2012 at Lowe’s and independent distributors. The kit (DCS310S1) will feature one DCS310 reciprocating saw, one 12 Volt MAX* 1.5 Ah Lithium Ion battery pack, one 30-minute charger, one four-inch six TPI wood cutting blade, one four-inch 18 TPI metal cutting blade and a kit bag. The kit is expected to retail for approximately $149.00. The DCS310 will also be offered in a variety of 12 Volt MAX* combo kits, including the DCK212S2 ($199.00), a two tool combo kit featuring the 12 Volt MAX* 3/8†Drill/Driver (DCD710), and the DCK413 ($279.00), a four tool combo kit complete with the 12 Volt MAX* Drill/Driver (DCD710), 12 Volt MAX* 3/8†Impact Wrench (DCF813) and the 12 Volt MAX* LED Work Light (DCL510). The tool will come with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and 90-day money-back guarantee, and the battery packs come standard with two-year free service contract.
