daveostrom
Hi, I'm new to this owner's group and would to know if others have experienced problems with the DC628 15 gauge finish nailer. I've never been able to use it for more than about 15 minutes before it signals a jam. There is no jam and I am eventually able to clear it by shaving back the plastic on the nail strips or by putting a new strip in (there are plenty of nails left on the strip so it isn't the problem that nailers have when only 2 or 3 nails are left in the gun.) I am getting so frustrated with it that I'm about to put in in permanent storage. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. PKDEWALT
What brand of nails are you using in it? I have the 16ga and 18ga cordless nails guns and it says right in owners manual to use only paslode or dewalt nails and thats what i use and have had no problems
kjones
I was going to ask the same question. What brand of nails?
daveostrom
I'm sorry everyone, I meant to mention in my post that I have only used Dewalt nails.
Zuken
I've used my DC628 for the past two years and have never experienced a jam. For what it is worth, my nails (Dewalt) do not have any plastic strip on them. It's great not to have any hose nor electric cord! Love it!
