macka001 Posted May 2, 2012 Report Share Posted May 2, 2012 Hi, Ive had the DC925 XRP 18v cordless drill for a few years. yesterday went to select the hammer function, and the coller does not go beyond 1 or 21 so i cant select normal drill or hammer action. any ideas? drill works fine apart for this issue. deedub35 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 This happens to my DC988 sometimes. Also the speed selector sometimes doesn't change easily. I pulse the trigger and change from forward to reverse and back a few times and then try. Usually changes after a few tries. I just got one of those rubber strap wrenches and put it around the dial, and cranked it til it turned over to the hammer mode. Worked fine after that.
