rick carpenter
My grinder wheels wobble. I watched a few youtube videos where a guy machined new spindle collars, resurfaced the wheel backing plates (not applicable here), and machined new brass nuts for a wobbly, vibrating grinder. After doing that, he balanced a nickel on edge on the housing while running and spinning down. I don't have a lathe or the skills to do that. I can tell there's problems with the stamped steel collars (p/n 761351-00), and I can get them machined flat both surfaces, but I don't know about how accurate the nuts (p/n 2941-00 and 2942-00) are so I might as well find good ones. Where can I find one each accurately machined 5/8-11 nuts in right and left threads? Thanks.
