Steven Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 I have heard that if you buy them at Lowes/Home Depot they are lower quality (plastic gears) vs buying them at a more expensive commercial/industrial tool place that would be of higher quality (metal gears). I have had friends think they purchased the same set as me only to find out the set didn't include the same model circular saw and lower amperage batteries. "But they looked the same on the shelf" was their reply when I asked them if they looked at the model numbers.
