Redrum Posted October 11, 2013 Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 Hey guys, I have an older DW998 Type 1 (18v XRP) that has been spitting out bits of the keyless chuck for years, finally gave up and will not release/undo. There is a bit stuck in the chuck and I am wondering if I can force the chuck off like shown in some youtube videos floating around? The chuck is basically identical to this, but is the original Video I found: Does anyone know how to correctly disassemble a type 1 chuck, keeping in mind it is occupied with a bit.
