rickh
I just bought these two items to add to the other 20V XR tools I bought. These are the only two remaining "general" tools that are not XR. Does anyone have an idea of when/if DeWalt will produce a 20V XR circular saw and a sawmill? Also, what advantages, if any, would there be (not that I would change at this point since I haven't even used them yet as I just got them). I did find out that the "tool only" tool for the circular saw and the sawmill are very much different than the tools you find in the kits. For one, the circular saw has a full magnesium base plate and guard and the sawmill is a 4 position blade among other features for both. Definitely worth getting the "tool only" version... ewils91
Hello, The "tool only" versions of the circular saw and reciprocating saw are available in a kit if you purchase the premium kit model number DCK592L2. The kits at the box stores have the stamped base and non-adjustable 2 way chuck on the reciprocating saw. Eddy
rickh
It was hard to tell what came with what kit. What I did want was all the compact tools, so I bought those separately. I didn't find out about the difference in the sawzall and circular saw until after I bought the tool only version. Still would like to know what DeWalt's plan is on offering XR versions of these products. LOL, saw that the spell checker changed "sawzall" to sawmill... I bet some of us would like to buy a sawmill..
