domcorsetti
The heading says it all. I know you can make them but I'm not that savy of a woodworker/carpenter yet ha. I know its probably incredibly basic but for now I would be happy with forking over some money to have a zero clearance insert for my new DWS 780. All these companies seem to have inserts for the older dewalt miter saws but this saw has been out a while... do any of you guys know of any? RickyMcGrath
I've searched as well for at least a year. Check youtube as they're easy to make. Aftermarket ones probably won't be true zero clearance. Rising the blade through a custom one is the best way.
chadlanthier
This is of interest to me as well have looked, but to no avail.
Mr. Yellow
You could ofcourse buy a separate set of clearance inserts from DeWALT through their parts website. You can move them on the saw so that they are flush. Then drop in the sawblade gently and you'd have a zero clearance. But yeah, a wooden one is better than a plastic one.

overanalyze
Fast cap makes a zero clearance tape. You apply it over the factory insert and then drop your blade through it. I haven't tried it but it seems to make good sense. https://www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=51659&idcategory=3
Sarbatche
That's a good price point on the tape. I wonder how well it works and for how long. Normally I'm all about MDF inserts made with a mortising router bit and the original plate as a template.
