bazz Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Hi I have recently bought a dc410 angle grinder second hand, but it came without the nuts.I purchased the correct nuts for it 14mm, but the shaft measures 15mm so the nuts don't fit do you think someone has changed the shaft and if so which flange nuts will I need, thanks.
Gatorb8881393434512 Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 611672-00 is the part number you're looking for according to http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?productNumber=DC410KA . Is that the nut you purchased?
bazz Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 It says dc 410 type 1 not dc410ka on the machine.these are the numbers I bought dew-391969-00 and dew-622623-02these are listed as the parts for the above machine.
Gatorb8881393434512 Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 KA just means it came as kit with a battery. I believe the part you're looking for is in the link I provided. When I search "DC410" on the site, it automatically directs me to the DC410KA. If you want to know for sure, call a Dewalt Service Center, you can find one close to you here. http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Home
bazz Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 Cannot find these part numbers in uk the parts in the uk are 14mm but mine is definitely 15mm
Gatorb8881393434512 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 being it the UK changes everything. I'm sure the part numbers are different than in the U.S. Try and reach out to Dewalt there in the UK.
DWalter Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Most European grinders and cut off tools have 14 mm spindles whereas most North American ones use 5/8-11. Sounds like it might be a US model.
