David Mefford
I noticed that my DW708 mitre saw, which I have loved since the day I purchased it, no longer stays in place when I apply the clamp on the end of the arm. This makes it difficult to make angled cuts that are not pre-set stops. Is there anyway to adjust and tighten this? I have looked it over and can't figure out how it works for sure so I don't know how to tighten it.
kjones
I can't remember for sure, as I haven't messed with a 708 in a long time, but I believe that there is a tightening screw under the miter clamp. Look underneath the clamp handle and look for a screw that you can tighten. Hopefully that is correct and helps you out!
