Eaubouy Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Butchered a small case, to adapt to a Radio......Now it is no longer sittin on the Floor. In Picture #3, the Dewalt Portable Vac and Flex Light are both held in place, by using a dead 18V battery, with the batteries removed and the empty case screwed into the appropriate location. Tool locks on to the battery case and keeps them secure. 3 Quote
firefighter4187 Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Thats pretty bad ass, patent that and have DeWalt buy it haha!! 1 Quote
RedSionnach Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 That's a good idea. May be DeWalt could come up with something like a sliding dovetail or a way to use the stacking clasps to attach the radio to the boxes. Quote
Brien Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 I bungee the same radio to the top of my box while on the cart. I like your innovation. I don't have the guts to hack a tough box. Quote
Moze Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Great idea on mounting the vac and the flashlight! Quote
Mr. Yellow Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 That's great! It wouldn't really work with their latest radio. You'd be blocking the 2 outlets on one side and the storage case on the other, but it works great on the one you have. Quote
RickyMcGrath Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Gives me an idea..... Building a radio using a whole tough box. Like they do with coolers. 1 Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Cool idea. I like tough box radio idea too. Quote
RickyMcGrath Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 If you're good with electronics circuitry, you could setup the whole thing perfectly. Storage inside, battery charger, etc. Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Great idea how about cooler and radio in one. Quote
Bigmikez Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 as long as its worksite tough im in Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 It has to hold at least a twelve pack. At least. Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Oh and it needs a lock, so the coworkers keep their paws off. Quote
Bigmikez Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Especially for the ones who never pitch in Quote
RickyMcGrath Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Great idea how about cooler and radio in one.Now we're talking! A DEWALT Tough System, Radio, Charger & Cooler! Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Alright who wants to pitch it dewalt, maybe they can have it out by Christmas 2020. Quote
Mr. Yellow Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Not a cooler, maybe a charger(?), definetely a radio and for sure it attaches to your ToughSystem... As if DeWALT didn't have enough radio's yet, here's the next one... 1 Quote
Sarbatche Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Done. I had the old 12V charging radio; I could use an upgrade that incorporates the tough system. Quote
chadlanthier Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 That's cool. Is that an actual box or did u etch toughsound onto t. Quote
Mr. Yellow Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Seems like a prototype. Not my picture. It was posted by A Concord Carpenter on his Facebook page... Quote
