On one of those 40v trimmers it might be worth it, but on a little 18v 1.5 ah pack that's not going to last long at all.

I saw a couple of homebrew decks for gas trimmers on YouTube a few years ago. Too bad they didn't patent them. I guess if you have a really small yard it would be ok.

1.5 ah ought to to do half of 1 side of my sidewalk.

I guess it would be good to take to the cemetery to maintain my buddy's grave. I typically do it with clippers now.
