macombschmidt Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 I have a Makita HR2475 rotary hammer drill. It will not take a drill bit - I push one in and turn but it does not engage. Help!
Conductor562 Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 Bad chuck spring possibly? Take the chuck apart and have a look for the culprit. Here is parts diagram. Here is where to get your parts:http://www.ereplacementparts.com/makita-hr2475-dhandle-rotary-hammer-parts-c-97_380_119079.html
Andrius Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 it can be cylinder number part 25 worn out. It have pins inside it (they hold drill bid to not spin in inside of the cylinder) if you not see that pins you need new cylinder. And you must check part number 5 if it`s not worn out and of course your drill bit
regopit Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Are you using SDS bits. Standard bits will not work in a SD Rotary Hammer. Please don't think that I don't think you don't know what your doing . I have seen many guy buy a SD Rotary Hammer not realizing they need SDS bits. It is an honest mistake.
