MickDug
Bosch has released a 2 in 1 driver and wrench in a brushless 18v version: http://www.twwholesale.co.uk/product.php/section/6115/sn/Bosch-GDX18V-EC-18V Any one know if these are any good? Not usually a fan of combining tools but in the market for both so could save a few quid buying just the one tool. Cheers
dwain
They are great unit. http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/2014/06/bosch-idh182-18v-ec-brushless-socket-ready-impact-tools-in-action-pro/ http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/3781-bosch-18v-brushless-hybrid-impact-compact-drill-review/?http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/2014/04/bosch-idh182-18v-ec-brushless-socket-ready-impact-with-14-hex-and-12-square-drive-kit-tool-crazy/ http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/4557-review-brushless-bosch-drill-impact/?hl=%2Bbosch+%2Bimpact+%2Bwrench
Javier
Its an excellent combination impact. Great as an impact driver and handy as an impact wrench. Not as powerful as other brands impact wrenches but last time I checked the power is the same as the standalone impact wrench so if I was anyone I would buy the combination instead of either the brushless standalone impact driver or wrench. Everything said is based on the version sold here in the states the idh182. Not sure of the differences between the european version

DR99
I wish Milwaukee offered something similar. This would be nice to have this feature when you need it. It sucks to try and find a 1/4" hex to a socket adapter. You can never find one when you need it.
MickDug
Thanks - I've been sceptical about combis in the past based on the logic if the tool breaks your two tools down on a job. Same could be said about anything that breaks really I'm on my 3rd combi drill - they're not very good at swimming
dwain
no, i imagine swimming is not within an electric tools skill set. I usually agree re: combo tools, but this one just makes so much sense.
Schavo22
I have this impact and I like it a lot, but I also have the dewalt dcf886. Their specs are the same when it comes to rpm and ipm but the bosch is rated as having 150 more in lbs in tourque. For some reason my dewalt can drive 8x1/2 in lag bolts faster and with less strain. dwain
i have found the same, the 886 is a tad better with really big fasteners. but the Bosch's 3 speed, 1/2" sq. drive and more delicate touch make it my favourite impact driver i think.
