TylerDama
The other day my 12v ridgid finally died, after countless drops from the tops of ladders, lifts(once was from over 19'), and tool carts she has died. Not sure if it is worth trying the warranty or not.
DR99
It probably is. I think most Home Depot tool rental areas handle Ridgid warranty service now. They do have a 2 piece 12v impact driver and drill kit now. I won't hurt as bad if you have to get a replacement. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-12-Volt-Hyper-Lithium-Ion-Drill-Driver-and-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-R9000SB/205374283
rfwjr
All they can say is "No". But if they say yes then you are not out the replacement cost.
madman_us
I would give it a try - nothing to loose
TylerDama
yeah I brought it to the tool rental center, 6-8 weeks to get it back (if they can fix it) but honestly it held up great. DR, that is a killer deal! If there is nothing that can be done with the Ridgid I may start to look at the M12 fuel...

DR99
The M12 Fuel is a wicked impact. I hardly ever use the 18 volt version anymore.
