Kenneth Denmark Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Which of the jigsaw do you prefer? In Denmark is clearly preferred body grip among carpenter aka the true wikings :-)
Mr. Yellow Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Never used a bodygrip before until I bought one a few years ago. I like it. It's more accurate because your hand is much closer to the workpiece. I hope DeWALT will come out with a cordless bodygrip...
Bigmikez Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I never used the body grip either but would like to try one out
BK13 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Yep, always used the top handle before, though I think I might be picking up a new Bosch, and I'd like to try the barrel style before I do... 1
Conductor562 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Go with the body grip. The control and balance created by shifting the weight over the blade makes an unbelievable difference.I'll likely never buy a top handle again 1
ChrisK Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I've got the Festool Carvex barrel grip and love it. Truthfully I had the Bosch AVS Top handle and an older B&D top handle before that. I really like the barrel grip but it does take a little getting used to. And you can use it upside down comfortably.
chadlanthier Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Yeah always used the first one, but the body grip one. Looks pretty cool.
Big_D Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 I've had the Bosch barrel (body) grip for many years and it's really the only jigsaw I use anymore unless there is limited space for turning. It's much more comfortable to grip IMO and the control is way better even allowing scroll cuts that just aren't possible with a top handle.
chadlanthier Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Of coarse Chris would have the carvex.
chadlanthier Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 On side note the carvex looks awesome.
BK13 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Of coarse Chris would have the carvex.Well, he IS a Festool snob... LOL. And yes, I'm jealous. 1
kornomaniac Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Barrel grip anytime.Altho the top handle grip is used alot more in Belgium. But if we get a new customer in our store and e let them try out the 2 different handles they'll almost always prefer the Barrel grip. Much more control over the Jigsaw and works better upside down. The new 18V Barrel grip Brushless jigsaw by Makita has sold very wel already http://www.toolstop.co.uk/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/f8c7af7912200b24089ad3f1f0fa928f.jpg
madman_us Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 I def prefer barrel grip jigsaws - better to handle. I bought the Bosch JS572EBL recently
claudio Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 The grip with the handle at my opinion makes "breath" better the tool but less precision.
chadlanthier Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Chris we are all jealous. U wouldn't mind loaning it out, would u.lol
