Bminder Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Bought this for $5 at a garage sale, missing the business end parts. The Catalog Number and Serial Numbers are scratched off from use.Can anyone ID this for me so I can order the parts to connect blades please? Thanks,Billy
ChrisK Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I agree, looks like an older version of the 6509. I bet you should be able to get parts on ereplacement.
madman_us Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Hopefully the parts won't so expensive.
Bminder Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 I've been looking at ereplacment, and I don't think it's a 6509.Mine has a power cord that detaches, a grounded one, and it has that speed dial at the bottom of the handle.I think it's possibly a 6521...
ChrisK Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Actually I am in agreement, that's why I said an older one. The speed control threw me off but other than that....e replacement is an awesome site with super fast shipping. Have you tried emailing a photo to Milwaukee? I bet they will have an answer before the pic fully downloads. They are really helpful and for a small fee you might have the parts shipped out slicker than snot. I've dealt with Milwaukee on repairs and they are truly fantastic.
ChrisK Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 They could probably make the ID and send you arts break down and maybe a copy of the old users manual. Old tools are great. Especially when they say "Made in the USA".
Bminder Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 Thanks Chris,I'll look into that!
NicholasShetley Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I have the 6511 I believe and it looks identical other than the cord and variable speed dial. Odds are the front parts will interchange. My owners manual listed all of the different model numbers but I don't remember them right off hand though.
Bminder Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 The shoe on mine looks like it's rivetted on.Is that typical?
Conductor562 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Could be a 6521. I also suspect the armature parts are the same across the board.Riveted shoe was normal
Bigmikez Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 keep us updated Bminder that's cool if u get this monster to work again
