Conductor562
Looks to be a 6509
ChrisK
I agree, looks like an older version of the 6509. I bet you should be able to get parts on ereplacement.
ChrisK
Swap out those brushes too!
madman_us
Hopefully the parts won't so expensive.
Bminder
I've been looking at ereplacment, and I don't think it's a 6509.Mine has a power cord that detaches, a grounded one, and it has that speed dial at the bottom of the handle.I think it's possibly a 6521... ChrisK
Actually I am in agreement, that's why I said an older one. The speed control threw me off but other than that....e replacement is an awesome site with super fast shipping. Have you tried emailing a photo to Milwaukee? I bet they will have an answer before the pic fully downloads. They are really helpful and for a small fee you might have the parts shipped out slicker than snot. I've dealt with Milwaukee on repairs and they are truly fantastic.
ChrisK
They could probably make the ID and send you arts break down and maybe a copy of the old users manual. Old tools are great. Especially when they say "Made in the USA".
Bminder
Thanks Chris,I'll look into that!
NicholasShetley
I have the 6511 I believe and it looks identical other than the cord and variable speed dial. Odds are the front parts will interchange. My owners manual listed all of the different model numbers but I don't remember them right off hand though. Bminder
The shoe on mine looks like it's rivetted on.Is that typical?
Conductor562
Could be a 6521. I also suspect the armature parts are the same across the board.Riveted shoe was normal
