pjb
I have a brand new fresh out of the box DW735 and have found the crank to raise or lower the cutter head is very difficult to turn. I've sprayed the posts with silicone but it made no difference. Is this normal? Will it get easier to turn with usage or shoud it be easy from the get go? Note that when I say it's difficult to turn, I mean I can't do a single rotation with one hand and if I try to really lay into it, it's hard enough to turn that it literally lifts the unit up off the table....... regopit
It should glide up and down

DR99
Yea sounds like something bad happened to the unit. Something might have happened during shipping. They don't treat things gently when they move things.
madman_us
I can write a book of that....when the UPS guy dropped of my first miter saw, he almost kicked It out of his truck.....then picked it up and brought it in front of my garage where he dropped it again out of 3ft height....I didn't even opened the package and brought straight back to the store and ask for a new order
Brien
I hate to ask this but did you unlock the head?
chadlanthier
Was thinking the same thing as Brian. Usually there is something locking it when purchased
RickyMcGrath
I don't recall mine being locked. But then again, I got it for $200 because it was an open item return.
