madman_us Posted October 28, 2014 Author Report Posted October 28, 2014 amazon's bosch special - $50 down. cant beat that
claudio Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 That will be my next buy!how much?I'm thinkin about cordless one body only from metabo for 139 euro at my hardware...but the blue is the blue!
ChrisK Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I was down to the Bosch, Makita and Festool Carvex. I bought the Carvex but the Bosch and even the Makita got phenomenal reviews. Good for you. Also love the l boxxes, I have several along with my T Locs and even a Dewalt Tough System and TStak drawer unit,
BK13 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I think I might end up with one of the Bosch barrel handle style jigsaws before too long... just a matter of which one... I'd love a Festool, but I can't imagine I could justify the expense (though I haven't even looked to see how much) for as little as I would use it.
dwain Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 the 18v jigsaw is awesome too, one of my favourite tools.
madman_us Posted October 29, 2014 Author Report Posted October 29, 2014 ya the cordless jigsaw is nice
madman_us Posted October 29, 2014 Author Report Posted October 29, 2014 I also picked up a few lboxx's at the weekend
chadlanthier Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 Chris being a snob, doesn't surprise me u went with the carvex
Duns221 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 bosch makes great jigsaws, just a side note they bought the company that first made jigsaws and in the late 80s they invented the toolless blade change...... i love wikipedia
kornomaniac Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah i also believen the jigsaw was a Bosch invention
comp56 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah i also believen the jigsaw was a Bosch invention not actually an invention by Bosch they bought the company that made them.....for 7 years, Albert Kaufmann of Scintilla came up with the invention Bosch bought Scintilla out....
madman_us Posted December 18, 2014 Author Report Posted December 18, 2014 i just know that a guy used his wifes sewing machine, mounted a blade in it and there was the jigsaw
ChrisK Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 How's the dust control on your Bosch Madman? Those are great jigsaws from what I have read but haven't heard anything about DC.
madman_us Posted December 19, 2014 Author Report Posted December 19, 2014 the dust control is amazing, I love it. sucks in everything.
ChrisK Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 Good to know Madman, I hadn't heard anything and the reviews seem to overlook it. I was really tied between Bosch and Makita till I saw Dan Eric do the Carvex with the Midi. Bought it that week.
madman_us Posted December 20, 2014 Author Report Posted December 20, 2014 ya sometimes you have to invest some more money to get a quality item
