DR99
That's got to be weird to use. I would love to see a video of it in action.
Conductor562
Wow, that's pretty wild. That price is a choker though.
RickyMcGrath
Wow, that's pretty wild. That price is a choker though.Yes, that's quite ridiculous.... You realize what you can buy for that much?
DR99
A nice inverter generator and circular saw and you might have some money left over. I don't see the point of something like this to be really honest now. You have so many options now for off the grid building in this day and age. NERemodeling
Yeah, seems a little late to the party.. Funky though
comp56
ok so instead of a 50 foot extension cord that you don't need you only have to have a 50 foot exhaust pipe.....for indoor cutting....brilliant!
chadlanthier
Makes. No sense. Would never wanna use this inside.
Mr. Yellow
Those look pretty cool. Found some vids of an old model on the Tube...
RickyMcGrath
The web site is a crisis site. This seems more geared towards preppers and survivalists.
Javier
probably for the amish, I remember seeing a miter saw retrofitted with a gas engine for them a while back- take that damn english technology!!! LOL
Scoszko
Generator and an extension cord would make more sense. Imagine what a full line of tools power by gas motors would like like, drill, reciprocating saw, sander, and even the multi-tool.
comp56
in the first video, buddy could cut 3 times faster with a new blade.........
Mr. Yellow
I think so. They all look old and beaten up. I think they are cool saws, but I wouldn't wanna have that noise all day when doing some cutting. This is a nice vid though
RickyMcGrath
It's definitely a novelty and for large volume rough cuts. I'd probably never want or buy one unless the cost came way down. Now if you could add a feature that doesn't require a pull start, like gas powered golf carts where you just pull the trigger and it runs as needed, that would be something. chadlanthier
Battery operated saw would do the job better and faster.
BIGBEARJT
imagine the kickback, probably loose an arm.
RickyMcGrath
Yeah. I'm sure it wouldn't be good.
astroboy
novelty aside....it's badass. For the bush carpenter who paints in broad strokes....
Duns221
seems a bit overpriced...
framer
its definetly a cool idea. would be ideal for framing, since many of those jobs dont have power onsite. but with the cordless saws available today, it'd be a tough sell. framer
an article with more info. http://www.farmshow.com/a_article.php?aid=26032 this saw is not that bad of an idea in my opinion. its a dewalt saw combined with a stihl engine.
