Jason Snyder
Does anyone know where i could get a casing for a dewalt 20 2ah battery. I dropped it and the front screws popped and stripped the threads.
RickyMcGrath
I just contacted DeWalt and its a no go on the housings. What's the date stamp? You may be able to get warranty claim. Or fill the holes with JB weld and re-drill & tap them.
DR99
Maybe you could try eBay. The packs are so new I don't think you would find a ton of dead batteries yet. I would also see if Dewalt wouldn't help you out with your situation. I know it was kinda your fault for dropping it but the threads shouldn't fail like that either. Try calling customer support the worst they can say is no.
DR99
Yea that's what I figured they wouldn't see replacement casings the worst like Ricky mentioned is just using some epoxy and gluing the case back together.
NERemodeling
I vote epoxy.. I would just split the pack, fill the hole, assemble the pack, insert the screw into the wet epoxy (with a threading in motion) then just wait for it to cure.. should be good as new!
