ChrisK
Is there any difference between this and the max fit bits?
chadlanthier
Yeah I was looking at these in lowes and wasn't sure if wasn't another gimmick.
RickyMcGrath
It's actually pretty nice. The "torsion" I'm not so sure of. I'd like to see some high speed video showing the action of the bit. The magnetic holder is a god send.
Fazzman
Look alot like the Flextorqs which I like alot. Ive had a set for around 8 months now they seem to fit screwheads nicely.
Mr. Yellow
They are the same as Flextorqs. It's just they called it Torsion bits in UK/EU.I think Maxfit is the same minus the impact rating?! (for drill/drivers)
ChrisK
Okay that makes sense with Maxfit. HD and slowed in Rochester stopped carrying them and I wasn't sure if they were impact rated. I did NOT like the Black Oxide impact bits from Dewalt they didn't hold up well. Thanks Mr Yellow!
Mr. Yellow
I'm not sure about that, hence the "?!";)But it would make sense, seeing Flextorq bits are Impact Rated. MaxFit, I would think, would be it's cheaper counterpart for regular drill/drivers, but perhaps Gatorb can enlighten us. They don't sell Maxfit over here. Bigmikez
I picked up a 2inch Black bit the new ones and it didn't last me to long either chrisk but ive had the grey ones new style also and they've been pretty great to me. I might have to pick up another set to retry them
ChrisK
With the Bosch IDH182 and the Milwaukee Fuel coming I need to get some impact bits. I wanted the Milwaukees but Conductor and a lot of others have had problems with them. So I threw in the Makita Gold idea and boycotted the Dewalt bits (black oxide impact) but now??? Mr. Yellow
give 'us' another chance and try the Flextorq. (jeez, I start to sound like a salesman for team yellow)I haven't seen them around here yet. I wanna try them out.
ChrisK
No problem there Mr Yellow. I've really been thinking about it. I might grab a pack of both. I hate to say it but Milwaukee is off the table for bits. NOT FOR TOOLS THOUGH!!!!
chadlanthier
Just picked up the flex torq bits. Pay 20$ for the 42 pc bit set. Not to bad of a price grab.
