rcsec
I purchased a used Craftsman 12" band saw last week, including the stand. Sears offers a caster set for the saw but at $118, that is more than I paid for saw. As for the availability, that could be another story. How can I determine who manufactured this for Sears ( band saw 113.248321) to check on availability of the casters from the direct manufacturer? Would a tray that sits under the stand (including the rubber feet) be a better idea?TIA,Ray
gertk
113 is Emerson Electric Co. , so that's who makes these. In terms of buying the casters, will you be moving the band saw around a lot? If so, it might be a good investment. I put my saw on a rubber mat to dampen any noise or vibrations. Once I put my saw in place it has stayed there for over three 3 years. If you are not going to be moving the saw around, don't waste your money. You can get some other nice tolls instead lolHow do you like the saw? usa
Yeah, I agree. I would save my money unless you will be moving the saw around a lot.
