Do you think it has enough power, long term to be used for drilling 1/2" holes all day long into hard wood such as Oak or Cherry? What about hammering into concrete? Eric - TIA Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 If you are drilling half inch holes through wood the Makita will definitely do that easily. If you are doing concrete you will not have a problem either, but you might go through a lot of batteries. If you are going to be doing concrete all day you might want to look at a more suited tool such as a Bosch Bulldog 11224 VSR or something corded that has good power.
