ChrisK
You know Mikey, I was thinking the same thing. Don't get me wrong for the $215 I spent on that Dewalt DW745 I am one lucky dude but that Kobalt looks pretty slick,
Bigmikez
Kobalts got some nice stuff I gotta stop by lowes more and pay more attention to them
ChrisK
I don't anything from Kobalt and truthfully I'm not sure how their cordless stuff is either but I have looked at a couple of hand tools of the ire and that 10" sliding miter actually got decent reviews which surprised me. It looked kind of cheap but I guess I was wrong.
MikeyB
Chris, I heard the same about that 10" slider, got a cousin of mine that was looking for an inexpensive jobbing saw to take in the car from job to job for punch list items, and that looks like the saw for the job.. Raboo
Thanks everyone. The kobalt does have good reviews there's just some little things that I don't likes about it, so I'm going to save up a little more and get a dwe7480. rfwjr
That Dewalt 7480 is a nice saw, unless you are going to use a dado. The 7480 will not take a dado from what I saw when I was looking at them.

The 7480 will not take a dado from what I saw when I was looking at them. This is true. The arbor is not long enough for a dado stack. That was the main reason I went with the DWE 7490X. rfwjr
Do you need a jobsite or portable tablesaw. If not for the price of the 7490 you are close to saws like the Ridgid 4512 or the Delta that Lowes sells.

If not for the price of the 7490 you are close to saws like the Ridgid 4512 or the Delta that Lowes sells.I don't need a dado blade. I really only need a saw for my small workshop and a jobsite/portable table saw fits the bill very well. here in canada I can get a 7480 for $250-$300 on sale and the ridgid r4512 goes for $450 on sale thats a lot more for me.
