Conductor562
Several times recently I've needed larger sockets. A couple weeks back I needed a 1-1/4" on my neighbors round bailer and I thought to myself "damn, what if I'd needed something bigger?"I have s 1-1/2" impact I keep for hitch balls, but my larger size selection needed some work. So, while at the barber shop of all places, I ran across this Proto 3/4" set. A Salesman for MSC asked if anybody was into tools, one thing led to another, and I walked away with this unused 7/8" - 1-1/2" salesman sample for $150
DR99
Dang that's a lot of high quality steel. I don't know if I will ever need sockets that big though.

Conductor562
PTN: This is the smaller 3/4" set that starts at 7/8" and ends at 1-1/2". It's not every day I run into stuff that big, but I do on occasion.2" and 2-5/16" trailer hitch balls take a 1-1/2"
