Rammstein2609
Hi allFirst time poster here but thought I would start a conversation on a recent observation I've made.I'm based in the UK so don't have access to any Ryobi Japan power tools but as I have an 'interest' in Ryobi tools (TTi) I stumbled across this last night.I happened to find some images of some new brushless drills and impact drivers on a Chinese trade site and straight away recognised the tools even though I had never seen them before in my life. It then hit me, these are re-branded DeWalt brushless tools.I have attached some images for comparison, and no, these haven't been photoshopped! The trade site links are:http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/mutsuura/item/10280830/http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/netshop598r/item/rybbid-1810/NOTE: I have no affiliation with the above websites and report this purely for reasons of discussion. I also understand that Ryobi Japan have nothing to do with TTi.ThanksMartin
Nalu Rash
Wow that's so uncanny. I'd love to hear more about this from the other guys in the forumSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
DR99
I think some one brought this up awhile ago. Ryobi in Japan had their own line of cordless tools, but the must have swapped to Dewalt oem'ed stuff when they updated their tools. It probably was done for cost reasons
JerryNY
Wow, looks almost like what we in the U.S. know as DeWalt drill and driver models in what looks like a Makita turquoise color. I guess Godzilla ain't the only weird mutant hybrid to come out of Japan
JerryNY
What's even more odd than the Makita-like color is the BL Motor logos. The font and layout of the BL badges looks almost like they were lifted right off a brushless Makita Drill/driver.
