Attached is a rough layout of Dan's Garage. He will choose one carpenter to come out to his house to build some shelves and organize his garage. The ceiling height is 11'. The only rule is everything must be made from lumber and costs must be minimized. Let's get some ideas and help him out!

Is this the thread from periscope to organize Dan's garage?

I think it would be a good idea to move the toolboxes off the walls and put them in the middle of the garage have them back to back in a line. Than you can have all that space to make a workbeach and hang up the tools on the walls

Or sections like a automotive electrical woodworking with bench and shelf on each side of wall. X carve signs showing stations

After seeing Eric's garage I think he should just come over and do it! It drives me nuts if things aren't in the right place.

Dan said who ever comes over an does a good job organizing his garage he will pay you in tools

Damn. If he is gonna pay for any lumber you need then that would be worth the three hour drive for me!

You should, hopefully Dan figures out when he wants to do it

Yes I will pay for the lumber! Need ideas, but I'm moving next spring hopefully. so I want to keep this low budget. I like the tool boxes in the center idea.

Dan can you put the measurements for your garage on here so I can draw it up in Microstation. If I can figure out how to attach it here I will post the drawing so some of the guys can use it to make a sketchup.
