William S Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 I have been on a tool buying binge lately. I think I need to go to Tool obsession anonymous! I have a few projects coming up (deck and remodeling my shop). So I feel that the purchases are justified, at least that's what I tell myself haha. I just bought the blower tonight and it seems powerful but I'm not sure if the 40Vmax wouldn't be a better purchase. Does anyone here have experience with both and if so is the 40v worth the extra $120 (with free 4.0ah battery? Oh and I think I see an orbital sander in my future as well! What do you guys think, did I go with the right brand? 2 Quote
DR99 Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Some nice buys there William!! The 20v blower is pretty dang good!! It had a lot of power for its size and voltage. I think its Dan's favorite blower right now. In your situation unless you needed the power for the other tools like the sting trimmer I think you did just fine with the 20v blower. Keeping as few battery platforms is the best idea. Quote
ChrisK Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Congratulations dude. I'd stay with the 20v, the reviews are awesome, Eric and Dan love the one they tested and you can use the batteries all the way around with you other tools too! 1 Quote
William S Posted July 26, 2015 Author Report Posted July 26, 2015 thanks for the kind words and reassurance guys. I was looking to buy a 5.0 battery for my saws so that's what sold me on the 20v. For my uses and yard size I think the 20V will be perfect. I'd have to say my favorite and most used tools is the multi tool and vac, it's just so versatile. the multi tool makes removing grout so much easier and than the little vac makes cleanup a breeze. William S Posted July 26, 2015 Author Report Posted July 26, 2015 Nice lookin tools William! And don't think I didn't notice the game controller, cause I did. So when your not using tools, what games are you playing. And if I hear you say Tetris so help me I will buy a new power tool. haha right now I've just started playing the Witcher 3 and than maybe MGSV and fallout 4. I like big sandbox type games ,you? Bigmikez Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 Very nice tool buying binge there William I went with the 20v after asking Dan on periscope which one he preferred and no regrets here William. Quote
William S Posted August 2, 2015 Author Report Posted August 2, 2015 fallout 4 is coming in november, I could have worded that better, sorry, but that will probably be the next game I buy. I don't play games as often as I used to, I am too busy with work and other commitments.oh and doom 4 is on its way but if you are expecting old school doom you'll be disappointed. Quote
