Charles Harris Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I'm very happy with my M12 fuel Quote
Poisonfangs85 Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 M12 all day. Fits in your pouch or on your cart without taking up space. Perfect power for whatever you need and it's from Milwaukee, great warranty and track record of service. Quote
jeffmcmillan Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 If you really want compact, go for Bosch. 2 Quote
austinthecity Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 What battery do you usually use? If it's a larger battery like a 3.0 or 4.0 the m12 might not be a huge difference. Bosch and Makita make a pretty compact 18v impact. Quote
Bremon Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 Bosch or Mikwaukee depending on your priorities; size or power, respectively. Quote
kornomaniac Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 And if you want both compact and torque like tour m18 there's makita's dtd148/xdt09 . Quote
ankur Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 i'll piggyback on most other comments, the m12 is easily the best, but only if we're talking about the m12 fuel. the standard brushed is still pretty good, but i would rate the bosch above it for its greater power and smaller size. price wise i don't see a huge difference between most of the 12v... i think it's $40 more for the m12 fuel vs brushed... can't see that being a deal breaker for someone using the tool everyday. i'd rank them m12 fuel, bosch ps41, m12 brushed and everything else Quote
crone_electric Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 I like milwaukee I just wasn't sure I think I might just do m12 I love milwaukee there good products I looked at the dewalt but I like the fact on the milwaukee tha t the battery goes in the handle to were dewalt slide on the bottom and I have my m18 that I will still have in the van when at work I just wanted somthing a little more compact so it would go in my pouch Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk Quote

Eric - TIA Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 Bosch, dewalt, milwaukee all rock. Havent tried the makita, but sounds like it has some serious powerSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Swaglosrevival Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 And if you want both compact and torque like tour m18 there's makita's dtd148/xdt09 .It's a great thing when you don't even have to go to a 12v for a small compact drill. Makita shines with the dtd148 Quote
Swaglosrevival Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 If you really want compact, go for Bosch.I have the Rockwell 3rill lol its actually a good drill. Quote

I haven't gone to use any of those three and found them to be lacking in any way. Bosch is the most compact and has the three lights around the front if that matters. The Milwaukee has a great impact and the advantage is that if you have the m18 you can use one charger for both batteries if you have the multi charger. Quote

DR99 Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 Makita is going to refresh their 12v power tool line to be a slide pack like Dewalt. I have idea when it will be released though. Quote
kornomaniac Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 November. But they are not so interesting as imo Not very compact with slide on battery. And not as powerfull as the m12 fuel Quote
Bremon Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 Yeah, they are taking the yellow approach, focusing on the wrong half of "biggest and best". Really surprised they aren't going brushless. Usually premium items get introduced first to rake early adopters over the coals, then features get stripped away for a mass market more economical version. Maybe Makita wants the mass market money first and is hoping the early adopters will be disppointed and spend twice. Quote
kornomaniac Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 I think they are going to be priced very chraply. And that brushless 'pro' versions will come later. Wel have to wait and see 1 Quote
Maxwell Tyler Ray Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 M12 all the way..also the brushed one certain pack a punch but of course you want the fuel!!!! Quote
crone_electric Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 Ya fuel all the way. I don't really like the dewalt 12 volt slide pack if I wanted slide packs I would just stick with my 18 vSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk Quote
