Dan - TIA
An angle grinder is usually AC powered and a right angle (DIE) grinder is usually air powered and actually looks like a right angle drill with a longer shaft. However Makita has a tool called the cordless BGA452 right angle grinder kit that looks like an angle grinder. Now I am confused lol
Circusmonkey
Good Question. I believe they are close to being the same. A right angle grinder is called that because of the position of the motor, which is at a right angle compared to the sanding disk. I believe they are interchangeable words, but I am not sure if it is like saying I need a Sawzall when you really need a reciprocating saw. I looked around and could not find anything. I found a couple sites that were selling the exact same tool. One site called it an angle grinder, while another just called it a right angle grinder. Now I am even more confused. There goes a peaceful nights rest.
