framer
i had a couple of the older 18 volt radios and they had absolutely no bass at all. do any of the newer radios sound better? can anyone compare to the makita or milwaukee radios? those sound great. ChrisK
If you like the Makita or Milwaukee give the Bosch a try. Bass has been redefined! PB360. Also they are FINALLY introducing a BT version!
NicholasShetley
The Bosch is on sale for $130 too.
AnonymousJoe
That new small dewalt radio is convenient but one of the worst I've used and reception was terrible. The Milwaukee charger/radio is a little pricey but you will feel like ur in a night club, great sound and well worth it!
DR99
Job Site radio wise I think the Milwaukee M18 blue tooth or Bosch Powerbox can't be beat. Like Chrisk mentioned a Bluetooth version should be out pretty soon. The only thing is Bosch tends to be the slower of all the tool companies. framer
well i still have the makita and milwaukee radios, but no batteries. i was just looking for a dewalt for when i want to run off batteries.

You'd rather a giant cube than a slim compact design with 4 speakers?
framer
oooh, that looks nice! i actually have an older milwaukee radio. i guess the shape is kinda odd to me being more flat than upright, like most radios, no? oh well. kruton
I have been on the fence about which one of these radios I need. I think they are all pretty nice. I'm having a harder time picking a radio than I ever had picking a tool!Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Petro0311
I have 3 of the tough boxes. I made a liner from foam for the Dewalt drill set I have since all it had was a bag. I bought a Dewalt 20v recip and it came with one. I got the big one as a carrier for other stuff. They are pretty rugged. I was looking forward to that new Dewalt radio but now this Milwaukee is out and seems like a better pick. Also the Milwaukee will charge batteries. Can't beat that. Shuutr
This guy seems to think Bosch powerbox is best. https://youtu.be/cMtudvNoq0EThe last model can be had for $130 (no Bluetooth) but it does charge batteries when plugged in. The Dewalt tough case radio will charge batteries as well. It has 4 speakers and 2 subs so the sound should be better than the older models. Can anyone confirm that the tough case radio has better sound and bass than previous models? OH and they finally put BT in the full size radios, no more adaptors necessary . OH and they finally put BT in the full size radios, no more adaptors necessary .The latest Dewalt 'Tough Music' - (to use it's official description) totally blows anything else out of the water.. I was on a Jobsite (here in the UK) the other Day, and the Dewalt Team came to visit me (as part of my usual product testing duties) so I asked them to bring the New Tough Music Radio.. We set it up and left it running for an hour or so whilst we discussed new products.. Within that time, 2 out of 6 other contractors on site, got on the phone and ordered one.. And one of them contractors currently holds no other Dewalt tools in their kit.(as yet)... Thats how good the product is....
