WigWagWorkshop
Good Day Crew! I just read a post about a new DeWalt 40v chainsaw. I wonder how well it will perform, has anybody here tried other battery powered chainsaws? If so, how well do they work? I'm in the market for a new chainsaw, and I will be buying some of the 40v DeWalt outdoor equipment for next season. -Steven
MikeyB
I have the Makita 36 volt chainsaw and love it, I wonder how it would perform against the Dewavt 40 volt??? Tool fight in the works.....

Tool fight in the works.....Is the 36v the 12" bar? I know they have a smaller 5" bar as well but can't remember if it is 18v or 36v.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
MikeyB
It's the 12" bar, and it's a tiger, I really like this one. Picked it up as a bare tool for 200 bucks

All I own are gas powered Stihl saws, but have nothing but good things to say about them.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Justin Hernandez
I don't think you can ever take me away from gas powered equipment, battery's are not for me. I love my Stihl gas powered stuff
chadlanthier
Never had great luck with battery operated chainsaws, just no power.

kornomaniac
Which cordless chainsaws have you Trier chadlantier?I only have a very limited experience only with the Makita dual 18v chainsaw and that thing had power enough. I really need to push my Wright on it tot stall it out.It does have a slow chain speed which makes it cut slower then a gasoline powered saw of course
JoshMurrah
I have the greenworks 40v 16" chainsaw. It's the real deal, and not having to deal with oil/gas is huge. I'll be getting my hands on the dewalt eventually for sure.
Jacob Scutzlas
I have the 40v blower and trimmer. I am very satisfied with the trimmer and somewhat satisfied with the blower. I'd be interested in checking out the chainsaw when its released.
