figureitout
I install and repair all kinds of auto accessories, but camera systems are my speciality, how I started, and my best selling installation.I do mostly work trucks, but also cars, SUVs, RVs, heavy equipment, trailers, multiple camera systems, and even surveillance cameras occasionally on tool trailers with valuable cargo.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/03/3d8e33e0ed1fa265cd03d915b5f85061.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/03/40ccf7dde20c8cd191f04a43f20cb836.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/03/726cfc1b396b9f2984cf67bab208743a.jpg[url="[url="http://imagNone of that is direct fit. I do what I can to do them affordably and still blend in well with the vehicle's trim.
Poisonfangs85
Nice work! Even though they are not direct fit you do a really clean job. And a Camo dash, That's my favorite color!

BMack37
You do really nice work man. I've seen several backup camera installs and those are the cleanest I've ever seen by a long shot.
figureitout
Thanks all. I've never seen anyone doing them like I do, but I'm sure people do. With winter coming I'm working on teaching myself to install remote starts.Nice work.....was recently thinking of a back up camera for our SUVIf you decide to install yourself let me know if you have any questions. If you ever tow anything, you definitely should get one. It's also a safety issue. I got into this partly because I had a niece who was killed in an accident that a backup camera would have prevented.

NERemodeling
Nice work.Do you know of any backup cameras that can somehow use a smartphone as the display?
figureitout
Tadi Brothers has them. They're wireless and transmit from the rear if I recall, which is far from ideal, there can be interference issues. I personally don't do anything wireless unless it's a trailer. NERemodeling
What about something that could wire into the micro USB of the phone? I don't need a backup camera often but it would be nice for things like hitching my trailer.. I already have a nice dash mount for my phone so it got me thinking it would be nice to use the phone when I wanted it, keep the cost down and keep the clutter in the truck downI'll take a look at the taxi brothers, thankeep you
figureitout
Most aftermarket backup cameras are either RCA or mini-din/aviation connectors. I can think of several different adaptor configurations, but I just don't think any phone is set up for any kind of video input.
chadlanthier
The one thing u don't realize u need until u don't have one. Could never own a vehicle without one.
